About us
Welcome to the web page of folk ensemble Limbora!

We are existing, practicing in New York and performing in Tristate region since 1966 for joy and happiness of our country men and all people interested in cultures of other countries and nations.

Members of our ensemble are of different nationalities, banded by friendship and a strong love for dancing. Of course, most of us came from Slovakia and fortunately, from all parts of this land. That is why we can proudly present variety of dances, reaching from far west of Slovakia- Myjava- through centrally located Hron region, up to the east with dances from Zemplin.

Today, Limbora has 15 permanent members and several other, senior, members who have spent many wonderful years with us performing but now have much more important parenting responsibilities or have returned to their mother land.

Therefore, if you are curious and interested in getting to know new, young people, other cultures or even your own, you are welcome to come and visit us at our practices. They take place at 8pm, every Tuesday, in the gym of Slovak church of St. John Nepomucene at 411 East 66th Street, New York (entrance on the left from main church entrance).
